The Dentists

David Ainsworth

David qualified in Manchester in 1980. After spending 2 years in hospital dentistry and 3 years in practice in Cornwall he opened Gwaun Cae Gurwen Dental Practice in 1985. He still does regular sessions in Cefn Coed Hospital and Parkway clinic.

Outside work he is a keen skier and cyclist.

Ewart Johnstone

Ewart qualified in London in 1989. He has a special interest in Orthodontics, and Clinical Audit. He works at Gwaun Cae Gurwen Dental practice and is also the South West Wales Audit tutor working for the Postgraduate Department in Cardiff. He also works in the orthodontic department Morriston Hospital, with Sleep Apnoea and snoring appliances. He has been Chairman of Morgannwg Local Dental Committee since 2002.

Jon Williams

Qualified in Cardiff in July 1999, Jon has been with the practice for nearly 10 years, he has a special interest in Cosmetic Dentistry.

Jon is a very keen Triathlete most of his spare time is taken training hard and competing in many Triathlon competitions around Britain.

Santanu Chatterjee

Santanu qualified as a Dentist in 2000 from University of Calcutta (India) and came to the UK after passing the International Qualifying Examination held by GDC.

Santanu joined the practice in 2005 as an associate. He has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry.

Our Hygienist

Karen Griffin

Karen qualified in Cardiff in 1995 and has been with the practice for nearly 11 years. She also works in Morriston Hospital as a specialist Dental Hygienist and recently started work at Parkway Dental Clinic.

In her spare time Karen runs the 1st Brynamman Girl Guides.

Our Manageress

Rhian Louth

Rhian and her team's role is to provide our patients with the care experience that they expect and deserve. They will help our patients throughout their treatment pathway, from the time they enter the practice, to the time they have completed their treatment.

Our Team

Our team include Annette, and Karen on reception. Ann Marie Jones, Kayleigh Poole and Lucy Grey who are all qualified dental surgery professionals. Jessica, Alex, Jessica and Anna, who are all completing their studies.
