Botulinum Toxin or Botox has been around for over 25 years, it's the UK's number 1 treatment for facial lines and wrinkles, it is very safe and is injected directly into facial muscles in very tiny amounts during treatment.

Botulinum Toxin works by relaxing the muscle, making it less active and therfore softens and smoothes the appearance giving a more youthfull look. It can be used to soften the lines and wrinkles around the forehead, eyes, lips, chin and neck.

The effects of Botulinum Toxin should last around 4 months, depending on the patient, if treatment is stopped any permenant lines or wrinkles will gradually return.

It is quite rare for the treatment to be painfull, however some patients may experience a mild temporary discomfort. The entire procedure should only take around 10-15 minutes.

Results become visable between 3-5 days, and the optimum effect is seen after about 1-2 weeks.
